Happy Mother's Day to the mom I almost never had. When I was born the nurse took me, cleaned me up and "returned" me to my exhausted Mama. Mom glanced at the baby they handed her. It wasn't me. It was an African American baby named Thomas Smith. Almost a real life switched at birth!
